XPressEntry Handheld Badge and Biometric Readers

E.E: What are the ranges of products/services?

D.C: Telaeris’ XPressEntry is a handheld solution for access control systems.

XPressEntry handheld readers validate permissions and authenticate credentials or biometrics against the identity information on record in the access control system database on-the-go from anywhere, record entries and exits where door readers are not practical or available, challenge credentials from within secured spaces, spot check permissions to deter tailgating / piggybacking, quickly muster employees during an emergency evacuation, maintain facility occupancy information, and much more.

Telaeris also offers compatible tablet and fixed / kiosk readers for different business use cases and workplace scenarios.

E.E: What is the state of the market where you are currently active?

D.C: The security industry is a dynamic and growing market that has seen significant consolidation from major players in the last decade, both in the integration and the OEM channels. As Telaeris’ offerings complement the various OEM solutions and are available for sale through the security integration channel, our opportunities continue to expand.

E.E: What can you tell us about market trends?

D.C: For the past few years, the largest growth in the security market has been in the video camera, capture, and management platforms, with expert systems being used for performing various activities with the video stream.

E.E: What are the most innovative products/services marketed?

D.C: In the past 18 months, AI has been the driving factor in innovation, both with video analytics and with analyzing various security data streams from both the physical access and the logical access control systems. The AI output and logic is still in its infancy, but even at this early date, it is clearly starting to show promise in detection of violations and intrusion.

E.E: What estimations do you have for the beginning of 2024?

D.C: We expect the security market to continue to show consolidation in both the OEM marketplace and integration channels, with many of the players ramping up their acquisition pace. Additionally, with the advent of deep AI fakes and cyber-crimes increasing, we expect the security and safety industry to continue to grow at steady clips.
