| Happy New Year! Our team just returned from Intersec in Dubai. It was energizing to be back with so many of our physical security partners and customers from across the globe. We were especially happy to introduce our new Middle East Sales Manager – Mohamed Rafique to everyone. We are sure our channel is going to love him as much as we do!
The conversations on the show floor reiterated to us that the security activity in the Middle East and Africa is continuing to accelerate. I am excited to see what challenges our local partners bring to us this year!

At Intersec, we also announced the XPID210 – the industry’s first Android 15 handheld readers for access control. As PACS environments become more connected to enterprise IT networks, the operating system inside handheld readers matter. Android 15 brings stronger permission enforcement, tighter background process control, and better overall security. When combined with XPressEntry, the XPID210 becomes a hardened mobile endpoint for identity, permissions, and accountability in the field.

This matters because modern physical security no longer lives only at fixed doors. Guards, safety officers, and response teams need to be able to validate credentials, biometrics, permissions, and account for people wherever work actually happens. This includes guard shacks, secure perimeters, remote gates, muster points, and emergency assembly areas. The XPID210 is designed to handle these challenging environments while staying compliant with IT and cybersecurity requirements.

Thank you to everyone who travelled to Dubai and met with our team. We look forward to continuing conversations with you and helping extend your access control systems beyond the door with confidence.
Wishing you a prosperous 2026 ahead!
– Dave

XPressEntry has been used since our very first installation in 2008 as a tool to help manage construction access control systems (ACS) and worker accountability. In the years since, we have added many other features as well as access control integrations, but we have always prioritized our stand-alone capabilities for construction.
Data Centers are Booming!
With continued acceleration in construction starts in the Data Center Industry, we have seen a concurrent increase in requests for our handheld based access control system. At a recent AWS Data Center construction enablement event, it was clear that the quantity and speed of projects being launched by Amazon is beyond the capability of even the largest construction firms to support them.
