Issue #
During or near completion of handheld synchronization, the handheld:
- Exits the XPressEntry application or
- Returns to the Reader Setup or Android Home Screen
During the sync, it looks like everything is progressing normally, with all data being synchronized as usual.
This issue may occur on some handhelds while others function normally.
- No clear or actionable errors appear in server logs.
- A location permission prompt may briefly appear on the handheld before failure.
Root Cause #
A conflict between the XPressEntry location tracking configuration on the server and the handheld device’s permission handling can cause the application to terminate unexpectedly during synchronization.
