Telaeris Completes Network Penetration Testing for XPressEntry and Receives Cybersecurity Certification

Telaeris’ XPressEntry software has been certified by RSI Security to be in compliance with the cybersecurity industry’s best practices that evaluate a Third Party’s ability to protect data.

San Diego, CA (July 24, 2019) – Telaeris, a physical security and safety systems provider, is proud to announce that XPressEntry, its handheld personnel entry / exit tracking, mustering and badge verification system, completed and passed penetration (PEN) testing performed by RSI Security, one of the nation’s premier cybersecurity and compliance providers. XPressEntry’s mobile and server applications are now compliant with the cybersecurity industry’s best practices to protect company and personnel information.

Penetration testing provided by RSI Security helps companies discover “backdoors” and system mis-configurations that can result in security breaches. These breaches can disrupt business operations, expose personal information, and cause loss of credibility with customers.

“Penetration testing is one of the most critical aspects of cybersecurity because many companies have endpoint vulnerabilities that they simply aren’t aware of,” says John Shin, CEO of RSI Security. “What we’ve done with Telaeris is ensure that any data utilized by XPressEntry is secured from both visible and potential threats. Our penetration testing engagement proves that Telaeris is 100 percent committed to taking a proactive cybersecurity posture.”

XPressEntry end-users and security integrators can be confident that the system is secure against external threats with appropriate security protocols and encryption in place. Telaeris provides end-to-end encryption between all XPressEntry devices and servers utilizing secure TLS 1.2 protocols. Additionally, all data stored on the XPressEntry handheld readers is secured with AES256 encryption.

“XPressEntry is used by many Fortune 500 companies worldwide, including refineries, commercial businesses, manufacturing, and government facilities. Ensuring our software is protected against vulnerabilities is incredibly important to these customers,” says David Carta, CEO of Telaeris. “The penetration test completed through RSI Security is just one of the many ways that the Telaeris team strives for excellence, making sure we deliver the highest quality products and services to our clients.”

With the completion of this penetration test, security officers and users worldwide can be assured they are protected against potential cybersecurity risks and can use XPressEntry’s handheld badge verification system for exit/entry tracking, emergency mustering and identity validation with confidence.
