Step 1: Open XPressEntry Settings
- In the XPressEntry Software, go to the menu:
Tools → Settings
Step 2: Enable GPS Tracking for Handhelds
- In the Settings window, navigate to:
Reader Profiles → Handheld Functionality - Check the box: Enable Location Tracking
- Click Save
✅ Once enabled, a GPS target icon will appear in the XPressEntry Android app interface.
Step 3: Show GPS in Activity Logs
- Still within the Settings window, go to:
General → Add/Edit Display - Check the box: Show GPS Column in Activity
- Click Save
Step 4: View Handheld Location
- Back in the main window of XPressEntry, go to:
Tools → Handheld Status
- Find your desired handheld device in the list.
- Right-click on the device and select “View Location” to see its GPS position on the map.
✅ A browser window will open, displaying the device’s GPS location on Google Maps.
⚠️ NOTE:
To ensure accurate tracking, the handheld device must be connected to the internet and have a strong GPS signal.
