Telaeris has partnered with DDS Ltd. to deliver a native integration between its XPressEntry platform and the Amadeus 8 access control and security management system. The companies say the integration extends access control beyond fixed readers, enabling organizations to validate credentials, verify identities, and account for personnel in the field while maintaining centralized oversight through Amadeus 8.

The move reflects growing demand for mobile, situational access control, where security teams need to confirm permissions and respond to incidents in areas that do not justify permanent reader infrastructure. Telaeris has positioned XPressEntry as a handheld extension to enterprise Physical Access Control Systems, including a previous integration with LenelS2 OnGuard, aimed at bringing credential validation directly to the point of need.

Amadeus 8 is designed as a multi-site security management platform that centralizes credential management, alarm monitoring, and day-to-day security operations within a single interface. With XPressEntry integrated, organizations can deploy handheld badge readers to conduct on-the-spot checks in temporary access points, field locations, or internal areas where fixed readers are impractical. Data captured in the field remains synchronized with the core system, preserving occupancy records and audit trails.

The companies point to a range of operational use cases, including handheld badge verification for checkpoints, entry and exit tracking, and credential-based access management for corporate events and training sessions. Existing access rights can be enforced in real time, with the ability to deny access when required, while maintaining consistent policy control across facilities.

A central element of the integration is support for emergency evacuation mustering. Handheld devices can be used to account for employees and visitors during incidents, helping security teams conduct faster roll calls and maintain accurate headcounts to meet safety and regulatory requirements. Demand for mobile accountability tools continues to grow across security environments, as reflected in recent procurements for mobile biometric readers.

The integration also supports handheld biometric verification and multi-factor authentication for higher-security scenarios. This aligns with broader efforts to embed biometrics more deeply into physical access control strategies, from dedicated reader lines such as HID’s biometric Signo readers to platform-level moves such as Gentex’s acquisition of BioConnect, which underscore the convergence of mobility and higher-assurance identity verification.

“Security teams increasingly need the ability to verify badges and account for employee safety beyond using traditional access control readers,” said Telaeris CEO David Carta. “This integration allows organizations to extend their existing Amadeus 8 investment into the field, giving them additional tools to increase safety and security for facilities they already manage.”

DDS Vice President of Sales and Marketing Emmanuel Bitton said the integration responds to rising demand for mobile-first security operations. “The integration of the Amadeus 8 software with the XPressEntry handheld readers opens new strategic opportunities for DDS and Telearis, combining mobility, performance, and enhanced security to meet the growing needs of the market,” he said.
